Mr. Justice Wahid Bux Brohi

Justice Wahid Bux Brohi was born on 7th February 1943 (district Shikarpur, Sindh); obtained Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Economics from University of Sindh in 1966; studied Law in S. M. Law College, Karachi and got Law Degree from University of Karachi. He was appointed as Civil Judge and First Class Magistrate in 1972 on ad hoc basis. He appeared in the competitive examination held by the Sindh Public Service Commission for the post of Civil Judge and secured the first position. He completed the course of Shariah Training at Sharia Academy of Islamic University Islamabad and also worked as Deputy Secretary and then Draftsman (Additional Secretary) Law Department, Government of Sindh. He represented the Government on the Board of Governors for Law Colleges in the Province of Sindh. He was appointed as District & Sessions Judge in 1985. He held the post of Registrar, High Court of Sindh, Karachi twice (1996 – 1997) and (1998 – 1999) and was appointed as Official Assignee of Karachi and Administrator General Sindh and also held the prestigious assignment of Ex-Officio Secretary to Estate of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1997 – 1998). He was elevated to Bench on April 20, 1999 as Additional Judge for one year and was confirmed as Judge on April 19, 2000.
