Inauguration of Model Residential facility for Staff of Sindh High Court
The staff at the Sindh High Court has remained bereft of residential accommodation and in such regard a model facility has been conceived at an earmarked 7.08 acre plot in Hasan Square Karachi.
Chief Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui inaugurated the project; to encompass state of the art residential accommodation, transportation to and from the High Court, clinic and a day care facility for young children.
The project envisages construction of 336 apartments in successive phases, as under: | |

Second Phase | 144 Apartments. |
Three distinct types of apartments are planned as under: | |
For Officers of BPS 19-20 | 2,560 square feet |
For Officers of BPS 17-18 | 2,100 square feet |
For Officers / Officials of BPS 5-16 | 1,200 square feet |
The Honorable Chief Justice laid the foundation stone, in the presence of judges, staff members and officials, and spoke of the challenges facing the dispensation of justice today. He appreciated the assistance being rendered, however, observed that greater effort was needed in order to better serve the litigants. He emphasized that it was his vision to share the responsibility of housing, transportation, medical and day care of staff, so that their productivity be enhanced and it would also serve as an incentive to recruit the best talent in the future.
