Mr. Justice Salahuddin Panhwar was born on 9th August 1966 in Mirpurkhas, Sindh, at house of Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Panhwar, who practiced in United Kingdom. Family of his Lordship is running an institution free of cost for underprivileged children in the remote area. He was enrolled as an Advocate of District Court on 20th October 1994, as an Advocate of High Court on 25th February 1997, and as an Advocate of Supreme Court of Pakistan on 17th July 2010. As an Advocate of High Court, he had 16 reported cases. In his professional career, Mr. Panhwar, hold the following offices:

  • Remained as General Secretary District Bar Association Mirpurkhas from 2002 to 2003 & from 2005 to 2006.
  • Elected as President, District Bar Association, Mirpurkhas from 2006 to 2007, from 2007 to 2008, 2009 to 2010, from 2010 to 2011 and 2011 and 2012.

It is worth mentioning that during the professional tenure of His Lordship, Pakistan Law Digest (Publisher) was incorrectly referring the decisions of Principal Seat and Circuit Courts of Sindh High Court as "High Court Karachi" similarly that of Balochistan High Court as "Quetta". Taking note of it, being a practicing lawyer Mr. Panhwar made correspondance with the Publisher in December 2011, apprised them that such an error on their part appears to be a material illegality and patent disregard what actually exists but also shows how lightly things are taken while approaching legal person(s) who are supposed to be bound by word(s), as a result thereof the Publisher appreciated Mr. Panhwar for pointing out such matter and assured to make necessary changes with effect from 2012.

Mr. Panhwar was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Sindh High Court on June 27, 2012 and subsequently took oath as a Judge of this Court on June 27, 2014. On November 3, 2023, His Lordship assumed the position as a Member of the Administration Committee, and since then he has been serving as a senior most Judge of the High Court of Sindh
