  • Graduated in Law from University of Karachi in First Division in the year 1974.
  • Served as Junior to Mr. Justice S.A. Nusrat, the former Judge of the Supreme Court, who was then the Legal Advisor to the Income Tax Department.
  • Enrolled as an Advocate on 1st May, 1976.
  • Enrolled as an Advocate of High Court on 21st May, 1981.
  • Enrolled as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on 8th June, 1994.
  • Honorary Secretary Income Tax Bar Association (1980 – 81).
  • National President Pakistan Jaycees 1983.
  • Vice President Income Tax Bar Association 1989.
  • President Income Tax Bar Association 1991.
  • President Income Tax Bar Association 1996.
  • President Income Tax Bar Association 2000.
  • President Karachi Gymkhana 2000 – 02.
  • Taught Income Tax at S.M. Law College.
  • Pakistan Correspondent for International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation Amsterdam Netherlands.
  • Started practice of Taxation Laws in the chamber of Mr. Justice S.A. Nusrat who at that time was not only a renowned advocate but also the only Legal Advisor to the Income Tax Department in the Sindh High Court.
  • Practiced Taxation laws for almost thirty years before all forums from Income Tax officer to the Honourable Supreme Court and a number of his cases have been reported in the Law Journals.
  • Attended International Tax Seminar organized by INTERNATIONAL FISCAL ASSOCIATION (Indian Chapter) at Delhi India on November 06 & 07, 1992.
  • Attended SAARC Law Conference at Dacca 1996.
  • Attended SAARC Law Conference at Karachi 1997.
  • Attended Jurist Conferences organized by Bar Councils, Supreme Court Bar Association & High Court Bar Associations.
  • Has addressed and presented a number of papers at various seminars on Finance Acts, and various aspects of Tax & Corporate Laws held by Income Tax Department, All Pakistan Tax Bar Association, Income Tax Bar Association, Institute of Chartered Accountants ICAP, Institute of Cost and Management Accountants ICMA, Charted Accountant Students Association (CASA), Corporate and Taxation Law Society, Paragon Jaycees etc.
  • Appeared and spoke in various discussions on tax, Corporate Laws, Budget, Finance Act/Ordinances televised by PTV, GEO, AAJ, Indus TV, ARY and other Channels.
  • Elevated as a Judge of the Sindh High Court on 25th October 2005.
