Mr. Justice Abdul Ghani Sheikh
Mr. Justice (Retired) Abdul Ghani Shaikh was appointed as judge of High Court of Sindh on 26th October 1997. He was born in Rohri Town of District Sukkur, on 13th November 1938. He got his primary and secondary education in Rohri Town. He however passed his matriculation examination in 1958, from Sindh University. He passed his B.Com examination in 1962 from University of Karachi, as regular student of Government College of Commerce and Economics, Karachi. He passed his L.L.B examination in 1964, from University of Karachi as student of S.M Law College, Karachi. He started practice in Law at Rohri at Sukkur. He remained as member of District bar Association, Sukkur. He was enrolled as an Advocate of High Court of Sindh on 10th January 1975(HC/82/Sukkur). He once remained as Vice President of District Bar Association, Sukkur and General Secretary of High Court of Sindh, Sukkur Bench. He was appointed as Assistant Advocate General Sindh on 11th December 1993, and worked as such at Hyderbad, Sukkur and Larkana. He was appointed as Additional Advocate General Sindh in the year 1995, and worked at Sukkur and Karachi. He was as Appointed as Additional Judge of High court of Sindh, on 26-10-1997, and on expiry of one year he was appointed as confirmed Judge of High Court of Sindh. He was nominated as monitoring Judge for Subordinate Courts of Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas Division. He retired on 11th November, 2000, on reaching the age of superannuation on 14th November 2000, he was appointed as Chairman, Sindh Tribunal, Karachi, on contract basis by government of Sindh. |
